 Post subject: Hard disk Died(WD 500 GB My book essential)

Toady my Hard disk slipped from my hands and bumped onto ground . Now my Hard disk is not working when , i removed the HDD from the Case and connected as Internal Hdd and when i boot it shows Secondary HDD failure.Sad(
and drive is not detected . Is there any chance of recovering Data coz i need that data badly, all my Office ( very important office data i have stored onto the disk , my projects , SRS' etc etc around 300 GB )

Hi Blackcobra,

In this case, if you data is so important, it would go to a datarecovery company.
A fallen harddisk is one of the toughest cases to work on.

yeah i have changed the Jumpers but no Use .

First time after falling i was able to see the HDD and i thought it worked , butwhen i restarted the Machine it wasn't working.


yes the data is important. I donno but i really want my HDD back...:(

( its still under warranty ( till April 2008 )
