Hi,
i'm relatively new in data recovery and repair (with non-standard/freeware tools). Does it worth it to buy it for about 440 USD ?

The instructions are bad.
Their firmware database is small.
Their support is not that good.
There are still bugs to be worked out.
But the main thing is it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is a new product and not a clone.

The trick in most cases is to find exact matching firmware.
I normally have to buy a matching drive just to get the firmware.

It would be a very powerful tool if they had a good database of firmware.
(and good training)

If anybody wants to trade firmware, please contact me.

I agree. After the pain of figuring out the damned thing, you can actually fix drives and recovery data.

Hi,

I recently bought HD for Seagate, HD for Maxtor, Power Data Extractor from Salvationdata.
As said by DRNJ, the Product is excellent, it works amazingly. However, their firmware database is very small. When request them for firmware which are not available in their site like Firmware for Seagate 7200.7 Puma2 s/n: 4MR58Q2G, they said they dont have and usually their firmware collection is from the customers contribution only.

Pros
----
HD Doctor is definitely a Doctor ---> it really works.
Technical Support person is available in Yahoo Messenger thro-out their working hours.

Cons
-----
Poor Documentation
Firmware Database small
Latest Firmwares not available even when requested

-RDS.

First, I am so sorry about the bugs and small firmware database. Our technical department now is reachable and available on TEL, MSN, Email or online call.

Second, the firmware database, yes, it's a little small. Partly, it becaused we didn't invest enough efforts to get the firmware. And we find that our firmware of hard disk can not be gained in China Market. We will try our best to restore more firmware.

Thirdly, we have a plan to establish remote instruction of our tools. And the process is udergoing and we will publish the news on our website.

In the near future, we can recover data or help our clients via internet. We are just improving and I believe, with your kind concern and support, we will be the best one in this field.

If you have any questions, you can contact me at MSN: sales.laura@salvationdata.com or our technical support MSN; tech.support@salvationdata.com .

Our IBM/Hitachi solutions launched and welcome your inqueries about this new product.

Best Regards

Laura Lee
