Hi everyone , I am employed as a manager in a firm. I have a problem that I had like to talk about. My system was working fine the other day, but while copying a file by nero….the system hanged and I had to restart it. But I got a disk boot failure error. Then , I tried to run a windows xp installation CD, but that is also showing some error message during installation and the installation fails.I did check the bios settings and the disk fails to show…and had it checked on another system also…but bios cannot detect the hard disk.I think the disk is damaged or something like that. The disk has important data from my company’s point of view…..that I need to recover.
Please let me know if there are any ways to get my data back from this disk!!!!

Really, it comes down to what the data is worth. If it's worth more than $2000 to you, it's best to take it to a professional. Any action you take will likely make it harder to recover anything. If it's not worth it to you to take it to a Pro, then you're going to need a bit of basic experience, a lot of luck, and an understanding you will likely not succeed. Whatever you do, don't open the drive.

you must take to the hd to a professional where your datas are important. you will mess it up if you try to fix it yourself. better search a professional recovery centre in your area.

I think it is the case of physical disk damage. Because, computer is not detacting your disk. None of the software will repair this problem. You need physical data recovery. I know 2 companies one in india and second in uk. Named HDRC link: http://www.hdrconline.com and http://www.droid.it , you should check the url of these company they can help you in better way.

Regards

Peter

Dear peter,
Commercial tools are engineering tools. It needs a lot of experience & experiment to do a successful job for data recovery. Tools are for flexiblity of the job, not successful operation that any one can do the job. If a tools could solve all problem than no doctor is required now a days anymore. Cos, doctors are using technology to verify his/her patients sicknees.

I am sorry to be harsh, 32% data losses for inexperienced and human errors.

I think that your disk is probably damaged …cannot guess any other reason for failure. There may be some problem in the controllers or can be another thing. The best way is to get a professional team that can recover data from damaged drives (diskemergency.com). They can be your best resort as they have tools and ways to get the things done.

All the best to you.

Unfortunately, the link you offered seems to be one of those companies that only tries logical recoveries. $189 wouldn't come anywhere close to covering a recovery where the actual drive has an issue. Like many things, you get what you pay for.

@ Elvis,

Probably according to your location, one or some of the members of this forum who run DR services may help you.
Am I right ?

I'd be happy to try. Our business is in the Atlanta area.
