Hey every one!

Long story short. My hard drive broke a year ago, it looked like the logic board fried and at the time i didnt want to pay £300 to get it recovered. Last week i brought a replacement board for £15. Everything looks almost the same and when i got it today i replaced the old with the new.

Good news is that it worked fine, the hard drive is spinning but unfortunately BIOS doesnt detected just says theres a problem with a hard drive. In the BIOS it self says nothing, doesnt detect the name or the volume.

I included some pics for you guys to see the logic boards. From what i read before and i have read today, the firmware the key to get it running but i couldnt find a same logic board. I have read about replacing the ROM etc, but i dont have a clue if thats needed or not.

Old:Firmware: 25P10VP
New:Firmware: 58NCB1

What are my options now!?

Thank you, nelson

I don't understand why you purchased a PCB in the first place. Can you explain more on why you thought the PCB failed? The "Old Firmware" above is actually the Serial ROM type. If the data is important call a recovery company.

Thanks for the reply. Well, basically it looked like it fried up. The hdd was completely dead, although, there was a lot of heat on the board it self. The reason i brought it PCB was after i did some research online about disk recovery.
The information is important, but not that important to the point where i will pay £300+ as i only want to recover my holiday picture, but for that price, i can just go greece again

Is there any chance of me doing it without going to a company?!

Thanks

Yes, you can do it without outside help.
You will have to study data recovery for few years and recover data yourself.
