HD sansung SP0842N not completely stopped league apparently was an electric discharge more circuits without apparently burned thank the help now.

wich ic´s are damaged ?,some times an electric discharge could be damaged the MHA too, and would be need an MHA exchange on clean room, but u need to check that before, after the hdd begin´s to spin, and check on terminal the log wich its showing, but to do this u need to has experience and knowledgment about the engineering of this brands or send to a DR company

I think i have one idea.
If you can soldering, try to desolder the capacitor next to the power connector on the PCB.
Sometimes have short circuit, and stops the drive.
If it does not help, send it to a pro, i suggest....

I am sending a photo of PCBs the components that were marked with the problem was Diodo Open and exchanged fuseresistor open the hdd back to work again thank you all for your help, so do more each day the forum grow

A part number for a similar (Perhaps even the exact part) has been posted here already. With the part number, a datasheet is only a Google away. Or, you can read the numbers off the part you have, and search for a datasheet.

If you just want to know what it is, what it does, and how to test it, that's already been mentioned here as well.

I see a part number AE GP403.but I don't sure.
I search for a datasheet in http://www.alldatasheet.com. It not have.

If it's a TVS, You don't need a datasheet. I'm going to repeat that... You don't need a datasheet. If by chance you're designing a circuit with a TVS, you wouldn't be asking for help. If you're trying to diagnose or repair a dead drive, YOU DON'T NEED A DATASHEET.

Oh, by the way, you really don't need a datasheet. You only need to know how it functions, and how to test it. It's already been mentioned before. That horse has long ago been beaten to death. If you still have questions, I'll do my best.

Also, in case I forgot to mention it, you don't need a datasheet.

Before you waste your time with measurements : if all the power problems on PCB are ruled out (?), you have problems in the MCU or around it. Dead MCU = have to find out something that work for your drive OR make it work, but it's not DIY.
IF the PCB is the same of the picture there's nothing else to do UNLESS you are able to repair it (but I don't think so).

P.S. depending on what happened, if the damage went beyond the PCB, the drive will click furiously at startup : add a dead hedstack and other problems, then.

ISTR troubleshooting a similar problem with another user. In his case there was a dry solder joint at an inductor near the power connector, possibly the same component you have identified as sparking. The solution was to reflow the solder at each end.

BTW, I'm having difficulty seeing the components that you have removed. Your photo isn't clear.

Can you identify your components in the following photo?

There are a few more measurements we can do to narrow down the problem, if we need to.

Here is a photo of a similar PCB:

AFAICT, there should be unfiltered +5V on one side of the inductor, and filtered +5V on the other side. If the inductor is open or high resistance, then you can simply flow a blob of solder over it. However, if you choose to do this, let's see a close-up photo of that area.
