They started it, and it creates real damage as they harase people into leaving. Now the shoe is on the other foot, and the "pros" are the ones whining. Doesnt feel so good now does it?

well,
for me it seems like Stts came here for some reason, haven't got exactly what he expected, now he is angry with everybody claiming different views than his. I would suggest to just sit down and listen/read old and new topics and do not make such arguments, please.
This is really hard to bear, and takes lots of time for all of us to read all the junk (I have given up already, but admin cannot do that).
BTW I must admit the words of other members were not pretty kind in some cases.
Please just stop kicking butts, I already mentioned that if somebody cannot stand others' oppinion, it is not mandatory to post all his grief here.
Let us concentrate on drives.

Absolutely. I assumed he would be banned when Dmitry noticed, but apparently he chose not to. Plan B was to give him enough rope to hang himself . Plan C is putting him on my banned list, and forget he ever existed. It's great not to have to see his trolling every day. I only feel bad for newbies who will believe his advice, and ruin precious data to the point where nobody can recover it. However, the newbies seem to like him, so I won't lose sleep over lost pictures of Grandma's last Christmas somewhere.

Clearly, stts is a troll. If he bothers you, put him on your enemies list, and you won't be bothered. Maybe we can finally put this nonsense to bed. I'm not going to talk about, or think about him again. It's advice I'd share with everyone. Let this die, and move on.

And Pepe, you sound like a decent guy treated well here, but you have to understand that others here are not treated fairly. They are insulted and abused. Did you read Rchadwick PM I posted? His admission doesnt get any clearer than that, and people should be outraged at him. He makes this forum look bad and his goals give it a black eye. When I see bullies insulting others, I dont simply walk away. I step up, and I do something about it. Thats the way I am. If more people stepped up like me against injustice, we wouldnt have near as many problems as we have now.

I think I just shut up now, worthless....

1. I do admit that some good people here (professionals) sometimes say harsh things.

2. However, I fully understand them.

3. I too also understand the frustration of others.

4. Surprise: there is no "real" resolution. Really. Unfortunately. There is nothing anyone in the universe can do to make professionals always answer nicely without affecting the quality of their answers and entire discussions. There is not much can be done about people who get frustrated. Well... I mean, yes, there are certain means that could be taken. But any such mean will significantly change the forum: it will get less natural and less informative.


About this specific issue. I do really understand the feelings of the member stts and I really want to somehow resolve the issue, so I will try one more time.

I again won't ban anyone. Instead, I'd like to ask everyone a simple thing: after you have typed a message, don't hit send and wait 30 seconds. Try to read it and imagine you have just received it. If you feel that the message looks abusive, please do not post it or change it so that it does not offend anyone. There's absolutely no point in posting abusive messages.

This world is far from being perfect; I believe that we have to to try to make it better, not worse. It is not something too difficult: you can greatly help by just not offending other people.
