Hello. The interface for SSD is SATA II right? Does that mean that technically I could buy a SSD and install it into, say an older generation laptop that has a SATA hard drive, or is SATAII not compatible with sata???

Sorry for the noob question. :-0

Hi,

You should check the specification of the particular SSD wether it supports SATA I.

Anyone yet to recieve a physically/electronically damaged SSD disk yet? Are there any common failures, or design flaws identified yet?

I have recieved just two so far, both with no apparent faults, just windows problems.

Im lookng forward to a nice challenge
