Translator is the part of the SA on the platter.
It is a group of some modules, and one area of these is corrupt/unreadable.

If you choose one guru from the forum, you can ask the price in PM without shipping the drive.
This issue is not too much expensive, i think. ;)

(In other way, -based on my personal experience-, if you send the drive to one little company "near to you" wich promise the stars from the sky to you, you will have 20-30% chance to get the data....)

Regards,
Janos

Where are you based?

Maybe we can point you in the right direction.

As Janos says, this issue "shouldn't" be too expensive, unless of course you go to the "big boys" and get ripped off.

"near to u country" ???

Please don't do that! :D

You know, there are a lot of amateur DR companies...
Please suggest one trustable, or one of us instead.

Now i can see too, translator is the problem.

Regards,
Janos

Hy janos, yes im know , that amateur DR companies could think on "exchange platters" to another HDA, and "voala" get data back jaja

when i was talking about a reputable DR company "near" i was thinking at some people like u , dobrevjester, pcimage, pepe, thatdellguy, rchadwick, jono ,starling etc... 8)
