Hi everyone,

I have a 250 GB LaCie d2 Hard Drive Extreme which I have been using for djing. During my last gig, as I was packing down my stuff, the guy coming on after me stepped on the power-cable, pulling the drive off the table where it stood. It fell approximately half a meter and the power cable got pulled so hard out of the drive that the pins broke. I was hoping (or rather praying) that the drive would be more or less intact, but today I got my replacement power-adaptor, and even though the drive powers up, it will not be recognized by my computer (a MacBook running Leopard).

Is there any chance of recovering the files on the drive (I have backup of most, but by far not all), or is there no hope?

Anxiously waiting for a reply,

Bendik

You have every chance of recovering the data. If it's your career you must send it to a pro. Where are you based?

Unfortunately, you won't be able to help yourself, but there is a chance of recovery if it's will be done by data recovery company.

Thanks for the quick replies!

Then I'll get it delivered to a data recovery company asap. I'm based in Ghent in Belgium btw.
