hello folks

WD1200JS-00MHB0, dcm= DSBHCTJAH, 7/7/05.

this drive clicks (as happened a lot with wd.

doesn't recognized by bios normally, reports of size as 8gb, gives message "wdc rom hawk" (doesn't remeber exactly).

i'll appreciate a lot your suggestions.

IS THERE ANY BODY THAT MIGHT GIVE A GOOD ASSISTANCE IN ORDER TO RECOVER THE DATA FROM THIS HDD?

Hate to give you the bad news but, no, there is very little likelihood of an end user recovering the data from this situation. Clicking indicates head and/or media failure. Possibility of PCB failure is very small, but swapping PCB with same model won't work anyway because of onboard ROM info. This really requires professional expertise.
