Donor ideal of heads for this model

WD400BD-75LRA0
DCM:HSBHYTJCH
MALAYSIA

In this site(hddguru.com) one sends regards:
country + Forth character in the alphabetic code printed on the label at the rear side od the drive should match

Somebody can here tell its experience with WD? (HEADS)

Internally it has some numeration or characteristic that I can compare with the one of the donor to know itself if head is compatible? :?:

after exchange of head not clicking, but not yet access the data, makes a strange noise but hd is ready, can be alignment problem?

or with pcb/rom?

You head swap hasnt worked. The drive is initialising from ROM only.

The SN above gives this as WDC-ROM SN# XYZ----

what was drive doing at the beginning?

did you tried to shots pre amp ?

At the beginning hd clicking and off. After the exchange not clicking but not access the data, as post previous…
