Hi guys

I am cloning a drive not knowing a lot of bad sectors ahead( after head exchange), I set a new task and do cloning, then I encountered bad sectors then i change settings while the cloning process is running, will it change and take effect immediately? or do i need to stop whole process or set a new task?

The reason I ask is the drive when enountered bad sectors it seems to struggle
alot until i issue a soft reset manually then it runs smoothly until the next encounters with bad sectors. I have set the setting but not sure if it does take the effect while cloning.

thanks guys

Hi Terranova,

You have to stop and restart the task (just use continue, not repeat)

Best regards,

Dobre

Hi

some settings u can change on the fly (like data transfer mode), but others (like timeouts and jump values) need restarting the current scanning like Dobre said.
