hi all i have a St3320620as drive with faulty heads
i have a very close match but the firmware is 1 letter out as below

i am wondering if this donor i have will be suitable for this job. i know it needs to match firmware and manufacture country but am not too sure if this minor change is going to be relevant or not.

or will i also need to move rom chip along with heads in this case

thx

I've allready used heads from different PN and FW versions and sometimes it works.
You could try.

No need to match PN, fw or country, there's an easier way ;-)

Hi pcimage
I'm neither tom dick or harry so I think you should be ok for sharing info with me :)

Seriously I am located in Australia have all the proper tools and do offer data recovery and not as a fly by night company we have been in our business for about 14 years

I am generally able to solve my problems and work things out alone but tend to ask when someone may have done it before so would be grateful if you could pm your answer

I respect those who keep things to themselves as I know they have done extra work to find it out

Thankyou
Ari
