Its because the spindle controller from the Bad Hard Disk its damaged, u can heard the "musical" on a good disk when u put the bad pcb because to works use 3 phases, maybe its only working one of them, by this reason u heard the "musical "

Beto, thanks for the explanation. Maybe 1 or 2 phases missing?

Does anybody know if there are any test points on the pcb to measure the waveform for each phase using a scope?
