Withyou,

By any chance, do you have a surname "Arora"??

You seem to be just a passive version of Dr. Arora, but with the same kiddo and foolish attitude. Even carrying the same country flag.

A quick IP scan may reveal the things...

(Simon, Sorry for being offtopic, but it was a must.)

back on topic,

Self-proclaimed fellows - ridiculous, audacious.

Simon, do you know what it takes to become a fellow of an established
institution or professional association.?

Go check something like FRCS - Edinburgh. This is what it takes to be a fellow.
Engineering institutes another good example.

Model your ideas around the above then try again, maybe you could qualify as a student member
and there would exams and possibly after 5 years you could become an associate member,
then another 5 years for full member then maybe when you receive an award from the Queen, you
could be considered for a fellowship.

Heard of Walter Mitty ?

Hi Friend
Absolutely I want to wish to cater the knowleledge as i am a qualified person from ECCOUNSIL in CEH and study in CHFI so i just distribute the things that IDEMA is best for knowhow about Hard Drive Structure including algorithm and for Forensic Data recovery ECCOUNSIL is best ...and we have to register to grow our knowledege as these institutions are far away as we think ...

That's another proof!!
Mate, I have no personal rival with you, buy you simply sound like the Dr. Arora (search the forum or ask any senior member, you'll know, what I mean).

So, It's a personal advice to read the the forums first, understand it's way of conversation, then when you think you can communicate, jump in the arena. As a friendly advice, to be very frankly, the way you talk right now, simply sounds like a kid/moron. So, if you don't want to make laugh of yourself anymore, simply be a bit mature, and post like a mature person. Not just throwing anything in the air.

This time, I controlled myself, and has not said even a single thing to insult/make laugh of you. I now said, what is true and in the friendly manner. If you'll take my words and think over it, you'll eventually find yourself at a better position.

At the top of the member list, honorary fellow, WHO ? Simon of course.

At the top of the list of companies, Who? Disklabs of course.

Got to be a complete idiot to fall for this scam, not even half as smart as Madoff.

So you pay his organisation to make him look much better than he really could be.

Now he asks for nothing to make him look good. This is so funny

So who got duped, some rather nice guys sadly.

Not too late to resign

So cynical Derp.

Of course, if there is a chance that I can get myself at the top of the list, I will do. I was the first member, followed by Richard Cuthbertson, followed by Mike Montgomery.

You state that you 'pay my organisation'. No you dont. IT IS FREE!

I was once paid £150 by ABC Data Recovery to go on the top of the list. This was refunded - as ABC has not requested to join - or submitted sufficient proof.

If you can think of a better way of protecting clients, then please let me know and I will help. Until then, as my father used to say 'If you have nothing positive to say....' ;0)

Regards, as ever,

Simon

No idea who this Arora is, I am sure you know my name, (Steggles).

As for the same country flag, I am British?

The system is based on that of the British Computer Society. Its a sound Society, so I took a lead from that.

I am a Chartered I T Professional - Member of the BCS, so yes, I do understand what it is - a little.

We are a data recovery industry, not engineers, so that model isnt particuarily good for us, hence our rules and standards are a little more specific.

As for exams, yes, I agree, its a good idea, but until membership is up and I start charging serious money, thats never going to happen.

I love the fact that you have to be awarded by the queen BEFORE you can become a fellow!

Mr Mitty was indeed a fine fellow.

Regards,

Simon

Its more a forensics thing than a Data Recovery thing. Rainbow tables would most likely make quick work of it....

Then why is he displaying the IPDRA logo on his site?

Dave,

Good spot!

I have checked his site and will be asking him to remove the logo.

It states next to it about updating all the members so that they have a valid ISO 14644 Clean Facility/Room/Cabinet.

I am not sure exactly what this 'bee in the bonnet' is about, we, (Disklabs), like most people here have had one for years and years?

Thanks for pointing this out to me.

Regards,

Simon

I think that is just another excuse to talk about clean room certification, or apparent lack of it. with a bit of luck his new years resolution will be to find something else to talk about to keep himself amused
