Hi there,
I had this 250 GB SATA seagate hard drive (sn:ST9250320AS) and it was working fine. One day I turned on my laptop and it said "operating system not found". I noticed that it doesn't recognize my hdd. I used another hdd to load windows and connected this one via e-sata. It is shown in BIOS, but not in "my computer". In the disc management, it is shown as a drive with no letter, and the capacity is only
55 mb. It is not initialized and when I try to initialize it it gives an arror of "I/O". I have valuable data on it and tried tons of data recovery softwares but no luck. I called seagate and they said I should send the hdd to them. Any suggestions? I appreciate your taking time in advance...

Is it shown properly in BIOS?

i.e. with full model number AND full capacity?

Yes. In Bios, it is shown properly. I got a msg from one of the data recovery centers that the problem is with the firmware corruption. They want 700$ to fix it though...
