I'm tired of the pricing methods for different people and companies...

Can I suggest you send some demo units to some real professionals on this forum? This way you will get REAL feedback and if your tool is as good as you suggest it is, you will reap the rewards.

You have a lot of potential customers on this forum, but if you choose the cloak-and-dagger approach, you are in danger of making this into a HDRC-esque farce.

This is good idea, but too risky - possible negative feedback could affect sales and reputation.

Why do you think SD managed to sell so many tools?

The price remains the same for all customers.
The price of SERT is £3700 which includes 2 days of training and 1 month of technical support.

We would like to send out demo units of SERT, however without training you wouldn't be able to use the tool successfully, therefore it wouldn't be practical for us to send SERT to you for testing at this stage.

The SERT technique is part of our intellectual property and so we cannot divulge too much information on the process. However we are holding demonstration events at our labs in Manchester UK in February/March where you can purchase the tool and attend the training programs.

With all respect, I am sure it will not be too difficult to figure out....

With all due respect, I doubt it would take 2 full days to pick up a technique, speaking for those who run DR operations here. Why not offer a trial and some training to one of the members here who is in the UK? I know from using other tools, that peer review is one of the best ways to promote your tool.

So, for that price, you will ship the tool to our lab and come over and provide two days of training? As most of us would prefer to forego with the training, how much is the tool without the training?

I dont think they will provide tool without training. I'm not sure why, it can't be that hard to use. Maybe training is just excuse to sell more products datacomapss/flash doctor etc.

Training and technical support is provided for FREE.

We are providing these elements as part of SERT, because we want all of our users to be able to use SERT successfully.

If you do not wish to travel to the UK for training we will provide you with our training material.

Question: (and maybe this is my fault for watching the video with no sound) What does it do?

We are not using the training programs as a selling exercise.
As part of the SERT process we actually recommend you clone the drive using PC3000 Data Extractor, which we do not sell. :D

Well in the video you can see they have taken the platters out of the disc to replace the spindle....but why is this needed if you already got the platters out safely...just put them into the working case/spindle and call it a day...

The only way the spindle replacement would be valuable is if you could do it without removing the platters, which doesn't look possible by everything I have tried.

Regards,
