Hi all,
Western Digital WD740GD Raptor: failed during "cold" OS load, since then is not detected by BIOS. On power on starts spinning, then clicks once and the spinning slows down; then spinning starts again -> click -> slow down; endless.

Can anyone please advice, does any attempt to repair make sense or it's completely dead?
Professional data recovery is no option; preferred scenario would be: do "some magic", copy the data out, then let it die forever.

Thanks a lot!
