Hi,
recently my second hdd stopped being detected by my pc and BIOS during everyday usage. It still spins up normally with no abnormal sounds, but nothing seems to detect it. The following have failed to detect it:
-device manager
-explorer
-bios
-disk management tool
-perfect disk
-norton ghost
-TestDisk
-HDDRegenerator
-hooking it up to an external usb enclosure
Drive details:
3.5" Barracuda 7200.11 - 1000Gb
STX - ST31000340AS
FW: SD15
Could i possible change the pcb (if anyone on this website has it) and then transfer the rom (and if so, how) and what are the chance for success?
