 Post subject: HP "restore to factory settings"

Does anyone know if the "Restore to factory settings" option on HP actually writes 00s (or any pattern for that matter) to the drive? Or does it just do a Windows style format?

It should be the window's quick format, but I believe under advance options, it will let you 00 the drive.

From the sound of it I don't think the user used advanced options; lets hope for their sake
