By any chance can somebody please help me locate the read channel on the attached pic of the 5400.5 pcb? Please feel free to PM me if necessary.

What do u want to did? measure signals?, unscrew pcb and put image from ic componentes side

it's pretty easy. not much different then most newer generation drives. What do you want with the read channel? Perhaps there are some easier ways to accomplish what you want if you can provide some more information.
