I spent MUCH MUCH MORE than 10'000 $ worth on equipment , not to say countless nights and days studying and making R&D. It took about 1 year to understand completely how some drives work, for example. Speaking for me, I run my REGULAR business and this year will be 10 years... thanks God and thanks me.
No, I am me myself and I here and everywhere else. No need for clones :D

So, why this forum exist at all?
Is it just for your and others bravery stories?!
Emmm.. I don't think so..
by the way, tell me please, how can I compete you if we live in different countries and probably different continents?
And finally, tell me please, as a specialist, what is your contribution to this forum?!

P.s. It would be nice if you publish your website here as a guarantee to your sayings

Regards,

When you ask "Why does this forum exist", the better question is why are you on this forum?

You asked a question. You received an answer that was "Blunt' but true.

If you do not like the answer to your question, please do not take it out on others on the board. The solution if you were to "do it yourself" would not be cheap. Nor would it be quick.

If you are looking for quick and inexpensive solutions to your problems, then do not look at all data recovery. Not everything in life has a quick and inexpensive solution, especially some data recovery options. If you were diagnosed with a brain tumor, would you expect that there is an quick and inexpensive way to remove it? Would you expect that you would be able to do it yourself with a few well thought out words from a surgeon? Maybe removing a wart from your toe, but more complex surgery requires more complex solutions and more complex equipment.

The interface you are looking for answers for is relatively new, and as such, equipment for this is not readily available. If it is a firmware issue, your best bet would be purchasing equipment that will fix it. unfortunately, this equipment is very expensive. Most of us have it, or a variation on the same.

Also, this equipment is not plug and play. If you play around with firmware, and you do not know what you are doing, you will damage the data.

I hope this helps as to "why this forum is here". None of us expect to be given certain trade secrets (and there are quite a few in data recovery) but if there are simple answers to simple questions about data recovery, then this is the best place to be.

Just don't expect to join a forum and be told everything there is to know about a certain topic.

Does your drive spin up, or attempt to spin up?

How does Microsoft's UVCView utility identify the enclosure?
http://www.users.on.net/~fzabkar/USB_ID ... ew.x86.exe

Is the drive powered from the USB port? If so, try to pick up power from two USB ports using a USB Y-cable.
