More times than not, the heads are ruined when this happens.

When you remove the old heads, be sure to account for all of the sliders . . .

At least some professionals use head replacement tools to assist in the procedure.

As for overcoming the stiction force, I wonder if ultrasonic vibration of the platters might be able to achieve this without undue stress.

The following paper talks about such a method in relation to magnetic tape stiction:

Still another method might involve applying a "dither" voltage to the voice coil while turning the spindle. The following patent talks about an additional piezoelectric microactuator mounted on the actuator arm (which some drives now have), but I wonder if applying such a voltage to the voice coil would achieve the same end.

On newer drives the HGAs might already be bent during the sticktion process, so even if you free them perfectly there is no guarantee they would be functional.
But obviously it all depends on a situation and that's where experience could help.

This is very strange ... Heads stuck in the middle of the platters.
Since he told me the disk was without energy ...no power - USB.

I guess that if the heads were hot when the drive stopped spinning and did not properly mount the loading ramp, they could have fused to the disk surface. I am not sure if warming the platters and head up a little would give it enough movement or ability to unstick, but better wait for conformation from a professional before trying that. A direct force has a high chance of ripping the head off the arm.
