Hello hddguru´s

Hdd has 6 months is formated hdd filled zero, it is no longer recognized by bios

any help please :)

'unable to load overlay' , firmware damaged. Need professional help to restore functionality or buy another one. Such repair - if possible - is cheap but not everybody does it.

Nope, almost certainly not firmware damage.

Can get confused that it is firmware damage because some ace has solution for
"Unable to load Overlay", but this possible solution, (which does not work very often),
is just a bypass of some Seagate function in program to give access to drive.
But this solution does not fix any firmware permanently, just temporary bypass.
So there is no firmware damage

Solution in almost all cases requires some physical work.

change heads and if there is no media damage you should be good to go :D
