Help me, What to watch in HD replace the PCB? because my PCB fumes when burning. SATA 3.5 "Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 Model: ST380817AS, S / N = 4MR24YWW, P / N = 9W2932-370, FIRMWARE = 3.42, = 06 027 DATE CODE, SITE CODE = TK

Match the pcb number and swap over the rom chip.

this is my pcb, 100331799 N7601LLR9, My HD made in Thailand, to replace the pcb pcb proved difficult in finding the same Number, is there an easier way? whether to use a different dps numbers, HD made in china?
Please...

Replace the burned diode. Maybe you dont need to replace the entire PCB.

yaa.. I should replace the diodes are burned, but I did not do it, I am a student. I want to buy a new hard drive, so I could take the PCB on my HD (contains my data), what should be matched (the location of manufacture, firmware, S / N, P / N etc) so that the replacement of PCB work and legible? please help me, thanks all

Match fw # and interface. But diode fix is the cheapest, of course given there is no other damage.

I see only one burnt component, and that's near the +5V pins of the SATA power connector.

I would first check your PSU. Your drive appears to have sustained an overvoltage on the +5V supply.

When you have sorted out your PSU, you can then remove the shorted TVS diode (use flush cutters). If there is no additional damage, then the drive will work without it, but you will no longer have overvoltage protection on the +5V input.

thank you for responding,,, I have a burning diode but change their IC components have been damaged as well. I want to replace the pcb, what should be equated, whether the type, firmware, or other place of manufacture? enlightenment please the master. sorry i come from Indonesia, my conversation is bad. :)

I don't know what you mean. Can you point out the damage in your photo?

Labtech has told you that you need to match the firmware (3.42).
