I have two hard drives pulled from a HUMAX media center and they have high secutity settings with a user password. I tried SeDIV but it doesnt have these model numbers. I can connect to it via terminal, but since the certificate is missing, I cannot type the commands required for a user pw reset. Is there any other way to breathe life into these babies? The data is not needed.

I'm here, just tried all the sectors, but basically they output the same pattern with some minor differences at the end. Too bad I have to repower for each attempt.

I don't know if I can post the pass (board rules?), but after the ascii treatmeant the result was some garbled mincemeat. Your method worked like a charm!!!

Damn, life is not easy :D. On the other drive, I find the sector, overwrite it with the 00 value, write the buffer out, but after reset it reverts back to its original 01 state. In this case, I have to give the pass in hexa format to some hdd util, like HDAT2 or MHDD?
