Helpless why not look at this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=25867 Lots of answers to a lot of your questions are already on this forum asked by others in the past the forum search function would help you out a LOT! Don't expect the Pro's to offer up their methods of repair its highly unlikely to happen they discuss those among themselves via PM and offer non Dr people like yourself helpful insights on the best course of action to get your data recovered successfully they don't recommend/support DIY recovery attempts.
Thanks I already read that one, if there is something useful, I will try. I am past that point to expect a pro help me.
I am seeking 'unpro' help.

Some people have experimented with bad hdd's, someone may come up with something useful.

- Tell me what version of WDR you are using (3.0, 6.0, 3.2 unlocked, whatever ... it helps to know because diferent version have diferent functions, and it would help to know what we can use on your WDR).
- Try using NazYura's tools to read the ROM and SA modules.

Post here the SA Mods (zip them).
Also your replies tend to be RUDE sometimes, you should remember that no-one have the obligation to help you.
And last :
If you try to self-scan the drive it will not work. You can't self-scan Zepfyr the same way you self-scan other WD drives.
And most likely it wouldn't solve the problem either.
Me rude? I want to experiment/repair and that is clearly said, why do people advise to buy a new one?
I didn't mean to offend anyone, but if I have done so, I apologize.
I'll try Nazyura project and post here. Use wdr6, hope its full version.
