Wow ,
Do Try this Experiement Worth It ,But The SSD Should Not Be In Busy Mode IMHO Otherwise Its Waste ,Might Be It Gets Out Of Busy Mode If We Increase Decrease Voltage To NAND

Sorry for the delay. I will get to this soon. Had a few RAID's in all with rebuild issues.

Our little experiment didn't work on this occasion. I think the principal was good, but the drive still goes BSY trying to read a sector. The drive stopped responding altogether at 2.7v, which I guess is no surprise.

It is a strange one. The generic utility in PC3000 even reports SMART status....

Did you try raising the voltage above 3.3V?

Yes I went to 3.6v. The reader goes to 4.0v but did not want to go that high.

Thanks for indulging me. Perhaps the technique may work for other candidates. Better luck next time.

Thanks for the help. Now we know the technique I am sure we will have many more to try.

Ok i am digging this up cause i find it fascinating, and having the same exact problem. And might even get lucky with it

So i have a case https://forum.hddguru.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=44566

Upon using MPTool to read out Chip IDs i found out Bank 4 of Chip 4 is wrong, Instead of 84 it shows 8C
However, when doing chip-off to id it on PC3000 i get a good ID with 1.8V Vcc 1.8 Vccq

So now im trying to find a way to send out 1.8V Vcc to that chip/
Thanks fzabkar for pointing out the right direction
