Just did!

PS: That is the rom I composed with like 20 dumps. Want me to send ALL dumps?

Thing is when I click on READ, it gives me pieces of the rom... I don-t know how to explain it.

try soldering wires as i suggested to avoid bad contacts and breaking the pins.

edit: thin, insulated wires, like 0.2mm that do not stress the pins.

The first half of the ROM looks OK, according to F3RomExplorer. However, the second half is a corrupt copy of the first half. F3RomExplorer refers to this second half as "extra space", so I'm wondering why. Maybe you should patch the ROM so that offsets 0x40000 - 0x7FFFF are identical to 0x00000 - 0x3FFFF?

F3RomExplorer:
http://www.hddoracle.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2534

Don't worry about the bad CRC for the IAP. That's normal.

And how do I do that? How does one patch a ROM? And what "patch" does to the ROM?

This is how F3RomExplorer parses the second half of the ROM:

I have attached the modified ROM (with identical halves).

Thanks so much!!!!!!!! Looks like there's still a chance!

With my (Generated) ROM, HDD didn't spin.

However, with your ROM, it spins but it isn't detected by Windows.

Damn... so close and so far at the same time. Because now that it spins (No bad noises tho), it may still be corrupted or damaged mechanically?

You should obtain a terminal log. For that you need a USB-TTL adaptor (~US$5). The error message will then tell us something about the drive's internal problems.

There are a lot of them on the internet to buy... From china it costs like 1 euro (but takes like 1 month), from Amazon it takes like 1 day for 5 euro.

Which one would you recommend me to buy?

Measure the voltages at the jumper pins. That will tell you which adaptors will be suitable for your drive.

You didn't bother measuring the preamp, did you? So careless.... :) It would be important to follow our recommendations.
Anyway, it's good no bad noises came out of it.
Now it would be nice to see the terminal output, search for seagate terminal or something similar for how to attach to the drive's diag port, you will need an 1.8V serial to usb adapter and some terminal program like hyperterm, teraterm, etc.

edit: Lol, the same happened as with Dmitris in the other thread, he posted the same thing while i was answering... :)

I think the OP needs you to identify the J4 pads.

How do I measure the preamp? Preamp is something located inside the HDD, right?
Do I have to open the HDD? I hope I don't because I'm not opening it for any reason. That would be totally a mess.

Edit: I just noticed I missed one of your posts pepe...
Will try to measure the preamps right now... Thank you and sorry for being so careless, I didn't done it on purpose!

Do I have to test it with the pcb off the drive? With no supply?

Anyway the PCB is a good one, and I tested it on another hdd and it works fine.

You need to identify the corresponding pins on the HDA (head/disc assembly). Then measure the resistance between ground and each of the +5V and -5V pins. No need to power anything up.

https://hddscan.com/doc/images/hdd_main_parts/HDA1.jpg (heads contacts)

The preamp is inside the drive, not on the PCB.

Ah, so it has nothing to do with the PCB, omg.

So I remove the PCB and check just 3 pins?

According to your picture.

PS. Sorry if I'm asking a lot of stuff, sometimes the language makes it difficult plus this is all a new world to me. I'm really trying my best.

PS2: I just realized how much I hate Seagate hdds, not going to buy one anymore in my life. What would be a good one? (If I can get this info recovered, I'll prob pay a cloud service for the most important info and pictures/photos on another hdd and backup that data every few weeks)
