Is Fw same them Servo Information ? is the answer is yes you can use a sistem that the name is servowriter.
Is Fw same them BIOS upgrade ? if the answer is yes just go to the manufactur website and ask them they will provide you the best solution.
What are you looking for ?, really. Problem is who tell you that the problem in the disk is Firmware ? or what program/system did you use to have this diagnosis ? because same program/system can do the job. Or you just think that this is the problem ? Or you just hear that FW can be the problem ? Or you just knew ? because you are a genius.
Many questions, just write here that you need a solution and there is a lot of good and cleaver guys that will help you, me? I'm just an old singer of an old rock band.

I was heard, HRT special soft for Seagate it better than PC3000.

Just use PC3000 if you want to repair MAXTOR and the other brand of HDD.

Just look carefully about the MODULE to use it.
Coz, wrong MODULE can make HDD become Broken or Fail.

Regards,
Along
