I have many WD and IBM drives they have very common problem R/W channel on these drives heat really much is there anything i can do for fixing these problem other than changing the pcb .

Use a Cabinet Design That Blows Air Directly To The Drives .Like http://www.coolermaster.com .It Will Be Much Cooler Then You Can Expect .We Mostly Overlook This When Making PC In India At Least

How Can a Cabinet Design Be Chemical ? .Yes It Is Hardware ,Its Just that There is a 120mm Fan That Blows Airflow Directly Across The PCB And The MHA .There Are Other Things Other Then HDD Repairing And DR Also, You Please Stress The Top Grey Matter Beyond HDD Repairs And DR It Helps ? ,Instead of Chatting With Me And Saying I Am Just Trying To Become Famous In HDDguru Forums And Provoking Me For No Reason And Then Running Away By Saying Bye And Not Chatting ...... :evil:

tried that already any other thing u could suggest , I have seen in new wd drives there is a heat sink on the R/W channel if i apply that will it work .

Yes Rameez ,
You Could Use a Heat Sink That is Installed In The South Bridge Of Motherboards ,If That Fits .I Remember Selling ASUS Nvidia Boards Which Stinking Hot South Bridges And A Heatsink did The Trick

rameez - Just a hint, make sure you get some good heat transfer compound aswell - this can make or break the effectiveness of a heatsink. You could also try the little heatsinks/combos off mini-itx boards - they're designed to do some work in a limited space.

the all things u said, are useless and meaningless here, no one will understand abt it, if u know anything other than hdd then its not a good thing for us and u, its ur matter, u again trying to show u a good person.

It seems now, that the topic is getting rather heated then Rameez's WD and IBM's R/W channels. :roll:
And the worst thing is that I am not supposed to find any Heat Sink or Silicon Grease to chill up THIS heat. :lol:

BTW Rameez, One can insist on Silicon Grease after making sure the presence of Zinc Oxide in it.

He Was Just Provoking Me .Any Way I Am Not To discuss That If Someone Thinks I don'nt Know anything No Issue .And Rameez Coolermaster HAs Heatsing Compound Also .We Sell It In India For Rs :125 a syringe .

Heatsink compound (THERMAL INTERFACE PASTE) can either be silicon(e) or non-silicon(e) based.... silicone has tendency to separate and migrate; though for temporary jobs - who really cares!

To remove compound either use WD-40, Isopropyl Alcohol, fairy liquid, xylene based cleaners...

i have a hard time finding heat sink for this R/W channel can i make them , if yes what metal should i use .
