sorry for the double post, but i can't see the option to edit my post.
also having looked at the burnt pcb, it's only the 'chip' directly infront of the sata power connector that is burnt, can this just be replaced?
but i got a few other questions after reading more on the forums.
1) if i can source a same model drive can i use the pcb from that? or is that only for older hdd?
2) what are the numbers that i am looking for in a donor drive? do i have to match the serial on the pcb aswell as the dcm on the actual drive? or is either fine
