HELLO THERE

I AM NEW IN THIS SITE. HOPE YOU CAN HELP. APPRECIATE IT.

I HAVE A WD1200JB-22GVC0 SE. VERY HARD TO FIND.

THID HDD IS BURNED ON THE MBO. LEFT SIDE OF MBO. THE SQUARE ONE WITH 16
FEET EACH SIDE. SEE PICTURE.

WE TRIED TO FIND SIMILIAR DRIVE. NO SUCCESS.

A GUY IN THE USA SAID IT'S SIMILIAR TO WD1200JB-00GVC0. WE BOUGHT SUCH DRIVE, SWAPPEED
THE MBO. CLICKING. NOT WORKING.

DOES ANYBODY HAVE A GOOD SUGGESTION, AND/OR SIMILIAR WD1200JB-22GVC0.
DCM CODE=HSCACTJCA.
P/N OF MBO 2061-701265-200

TKS VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP

EPHRAIM

You have to swap U12 too.
If that is not working probably heads or preamplifier are defective.

Best regards,

Dobre

Hello,

The U12 is a serial EE, wich contains the drive configuration for this assembly.
Similar board have a minimal chance to match these.

Janos

take a look at the pcb in the space between the cpu (wd70c26 .. the biggest chip) and the spindle four contacts connector, you will find a 8 pins chip (yours seem to be a ST 25P10VP) with a "U12" written on pcb ... that's it!

You dont have to match the 22GVC0 or DCM code.
