Hi all
i am having an issue with the above drive.

Drie initially would not spin up correctly, it would start spinning, stop, do this about 3 times and then stop spinning all together.

I swapped board with a donor drive, drive now spins and becomes ready and remains spinning correctly.

however drive will not id, and shows oMb

tried hot swap method and same thing happens.

i have included a ful report of the drive and am wondering if anyone can share their thoughts on this drive.

the patient drive is a model no WD10EACS - 00D6B1 25 novemebr 2008
i have used a donor board from WD10EACS-00D6B0 25 september 2008

for soe reason these 2 drives have different board on them

i have done a heads test and this all seems to be ok as you will see in the report.

if a head swap is required will these 2 drives be compataible. manufacture date is 2 months apart.

Can anyone tell me the difference between the B1 and B0 revision

attached is the log

thank you

Hi Crecomp,

did you solve the problem of your HDD?
I have the same problem with the same HDD family (WD10EACS-00L5B1).
please let me know if you have any advice to deal with the problem.

Thank you
