Hi all,
The drive clicking, I verified that PCB's good. My client said that they "deal with pirate Chinese tool" and make NVRAM error.
Any ideas?

with a working board the drive should stop clicking, at least if its heads are fine. Check that first.
If it is not clickin, u will have to search for the SA, read modules and rebuild the original NVRAM (hint: the adaptives are mostly logged in FLOG)

Thanks pepe for your hint.
The drive still busy, can not get ready, clicking non stop. I swap PCB of a good drive, it can get ready with 2 red led.

I get more and more of these with damaged surface. Can you check the heads under a microscope to see if they are not damaged?

But I don't think the head is damage, only NVRAM.

Well, very well possible, but i've lost allready much time on these drives thinking it was a SA or nvram problem when it turned out to be bad heads or surface damage

I have noticed many with surface damage as well

(hint): the surface damage may not show itself at first glance, sometimes a closer look is needed.
